Jessica Rangel MA, LPCC

Licensure Candidate

Hi there! I’m Jessica (she/her/hers). Born in Chicago, I graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a focus on Women’s and Gender Studies.  After working in a variety of different mental health environments, my draw towards nature eventually led me into the field of wilderness and outdoor-based therapy. It was here that I gained a passion for sustainable life skills, the value of community, and the healing power of sharing our stories with others.

The devastating loss of a family member led me to more deeply explore the mind-body connection and the impact that grief plays in our lives. I completed a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 and have since been deeply passionate in utilizing somatic therapy to help individuals find healing through their mind, body, and soul.

I recently received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University in 2022. My theoretical orientation is grounded in a humanistic, person-centered approach as I believe in the innate wisdom that each individual holds. I utilize mindfulness modalities to promote self-exploration, awareness, and internal resourcing while incorporating an action-oriented approach to help clients identify personal values and commit to actions that enrich their lives.
