Greg James MA, LPCC

My name is Greg. I’m originally from Mississippi but came to Colorado in 2001 for college and

just never left. The Rocky Mountains feel like home to me and I can’t picture living anywhere

else. I’m married with two kids, two dogs, and a cat. When I’m not counseling or being a dad, I

love hot yoga, nature, video games, and food.

It feels like I’ve done a lot of meandering in life. I have felt the suffering that comes with lack of

direction or purpose. Unbeknownst to me, this was preparation for me to become a helper. My

approach to counseling is very process oriented. I stay open, curious, and empathetic as I learn

to walk beside my clients. It’s important to me to create a collaborative environment so that we

can achieve our goals as a therapeutic team. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Peace of

mind is on the other side of fear.
